Adam has been with Mars for five years, serving as a member of the Global Nuts
sourcing team. He holds specific responsibility for South American peanut procurement
and global hazelnut sourcing, ensuring the supply of high-quality materials for the
manufacture of iconic brands such as Snickers, M&Ms, and Dove. Adam manages the
flow of these ingredients into Europe and other regions, supporting Mars’ commitment
to excellence across its confectionery portfolio.
Before joining Mars, Adam built his procurement expertise at Bakkavor Food Group, a
leading global chilled food manufacturer. There, he specialized in sourcing food
ingredients and packaging, with a strong focus on agricultural products, supply chain
optimization, and new product development.
Adam graduated with honors from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, with a degree
in Politics and French. His academic interests centered on agricultural policy and
international trade, laying a foundation for his career in global sourcing.
Based in Scotland, Adam lives with his wife Charlotte. Their three children—Martha,
Grace, and Robert—are all in Edinburgh, pursuing their studies or embarking on their
professional journeys. In his spare time, Adam enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, and
following sports. He is a dedicated, if long-suffering, supporter of Sunderland Football
Club.
